VolleyHub

SMS Opt-In Disclosure & Call-to-Action Proof

About VolleyHub

VolleyHub is a local volleyball tournament management app. It lets tournament organizers publish upcoming tournaments and lets players register their teams. The app coordinates account access, organizer approvals, and registration logistics; it is not a payment processor — any money moves directly between organizers and players outside the app.

How SMS Opt-In Works

All SMS messaging is strictly transactional and is initiated by the end user. A user opts in to receive SMS during sign-in by completing the steps below on the VolleyHub sign-in screen:

  1. The user opens the VolleyHub app and is taken to the Sign in screen.
  2. The user enters their own mobile phone number in the phone number field.
  3. Directly beneath the “Send code” button, the user reads the SMS consent disclosure (shown verbatim below) explaining that tapping the button consents to receiving a one-time passcode by SMS.
  4. The user taps “Send code,” which constitutes their opt-in, and VolleyHub sends a one-time passcode (OTP) by SMS to the number they entered.
  5. The user enters the passcode in the app to verify their phone and sign in.

Exact consent language shown in the app

The following text is displayed in-app immediately below the “Send code” button. It is the same text shown in the screenshot above, captured from the shipped build:

“By tapping Send code, you agree to receive a one-time passcode SMS from VolleyHub at the number provided. Msg & data rates may apply. Reply STOP to opt out, HELP for help.”

That consent language names the single class of message the number receives: the one-time passcode. It is sent only in response to the user’s own sign-in request, to the number they entered, at the moment they tap the button the disclosure sits beneath. It is also disclosed in our Privacy Policy, and it carries STOP instructions. Reply STOP to opt out of all VolleyHub messages.

Types of Messages We Send

VolleyHub sends one type of transactional SMS: one-time passcodes for sign-in. There is no marketing, promotional, or recurring messaging of any kind.

Message Frequency

Messages are transactional only — there is no marketing or promotional messaging. Message frequency varies by account activity: each sign-in attempt sends one passcode. Most users receive only a small number of messages.

Message & data rates may apply. Reply STOP to opt out at any time. Reply HELP for help.
Carriers are not liable for delayed or undelivered messages.
